Botanical Candles
Inspired by Scotland’s Gardens and Wild Places
From cottage gardens filled with summer flowers to woodland floors, hedgerows and the changing colours of the Scottish seasons, nature is at the heart of Clachaig Candles.
Our botanical candles are handcrafted on the Isle of Arran, inspired by the flowers, foliage and fragrances found in gardens and landscapes around us. Each candle combines natural beauty with fragrance and contemporary design, creating something that feels as lovely to display as it does to light.
From Garden
to Candle
Flowers have always been one of our greatest sources of inspiration.
Lily of the valley, lavender, roses, honeysuckle, bluebells and other familiar garden favourites have inspired both the shapes and fragrances within our collections. Alongside them, leaves, ferns and woodland botanicals bring a quieter, more natural character to our candles.
Rather than simply recreating a flower, we take inspiration from the feeling of being outdoors — walking through a garden after rain, discovering wildflowers beside a path or noticing the first blooms of a new season.
Handcrafted with Natural Character
Every Clachaig Candle is made in small batches using carefully selected waxes, fragrances and botanicals.
Our botanical designs celebrate the small variations that come with handmade work. Petals, leaves and natural details will never look exactly the same from one candle to another — part of what makes each piece individual.
From sculptural flower candles to botanical bowls and softly scented pillars, they are designed to bring a little of the natural world indoors.
Inspired by
the Seasons
The botanical world changes constantly, and so do the fragrances and colours that inspire our collections.
Spring brings fresh flowers and delicate greens; summer is filled with roses, lavender and abundant cottage-garden blooms. Autumn turns towards leaves, woodland and warmer natural fragrances, while winter celebrates evergreens, berries and the quieter beauty of the landscape.
This connection with the seasons is an important part of how we create — allowing our candles to reflect the changing year on Arran.
The Stories Behind
the Botanicals
There is more to our botanical candles than fragrance and decoration. Many begin with a garden, a walk, a particular flower or simply a moment outdoors that we want to capture.
In our Arran Inspiration Journal, we explore the gardens, plants and landscapes behind the collections, along with the traditional craft of drying botanicals and bringing elements of nature into the home.
Bring a Little of the
Outdoors Home
Whether you love flowers, gardening, woodland walks or simply the calm that comes from being surrounded by nature, our botanical candles are created to bring some of that feeling indoors.
Handcrafted on the Isle of Arran and inspired by Scotland’s natural beauty, each one is a small celebration of flowers, fragrance and the changing seasons.
